Boschma farms is a family-owned and run dairy farm that has been operating out of Tolleson, Arizona since the 1930s. The dairy gets its current name from the Boschma family who bought the farm back in 1974 and have since passed it down to their children.
Boschma farms was in need of a few system upgrades, or what owner Jason Van Der Toorn referred to as a “facelift.” However, the company didn’t want to disrupt business by shutting down production for a complete remodel. Essentially, they needed to upgrade their dairy equipment with as little interruption as possible to daily operations, and so they partnered with Modesto Dairy Solutions for the job.
Aside from outdated equipment, the dairy wasn’t struggling with any major, crippling issues; they simply wanted to remain competitive in the market as more advancements in the dairy industry were developing. Boschma never worked with automated or electronic equipment before, meaning all of their work was done manually, costing them additional time, money, and labor.
