About Us

Modesto Dairy Solutions first makes its mark in the 1930s as a family-owned farming supplies company.

Bought in 1998

Modesto Dairy Solutions is acquired by us, the Rocha family. Our own experiences as dairy farmers made this an exhilarating moment in time. We built the company to provide more than just cleaning supplies, boots, shovels, rubber hoses, liners, and other miscellaneous dairy farm supplies, but full dairy supply solutions. We knew that as a small family-owned company, it was going to take heavy labor—but we were ready.

During this time, our servicing and installation work was minimal. We wanted to do more to push the dairy industry forward. The company stepped back and reevaluated the process of milk production, discovering the requirements for productive, profitable, and efficient dairy farming. In the end, we found just what we were looking for.

We quickly realized in order to be the best, we had to work with the best, and that meant acquiring the DeLaval Dealership early in 1998. We noticed a growth in customers, and a need for more advanced equipment, giving us the perfect reason to acquire another dealership owned by DeLaval in 2012. During that same year, owner Ryan Calistro partnered with electrical technician Jake Dewit. It was just what the Modesto team needed. Right out of the gate, Jake and Ryan realized the benefits of working together, and saw how their teamwork far outweighed what other dairy equipment companies were offering.

Since our own time as dairymen, we’ve given new life to the traditional milking methods in order to increase overall farm efficiency. Our crew is a cut above the rest, staying up to date on cutting edge technology and training. In fact, we installed the first DeLaval robots on the west coast. From our robotics specialists, heard management specialists, and engineer/design team, our team has decades of industry experience and is able to provide a solution for all of your dairy farm needs.
